Disneyland Park: Fantasyland

 

Come into a land of magic and wonder in this area. Here, fairy tales and storybooks come to life, and regions all over Europe are celebrated in several different areas.

When guests enter into the castle, Le Chateau de la Belle au Bois Dormant (Sleeping Beauty's Castle), they are able to find a diverse range of experiences. It features two gift shops, Merlin l'Enchanteur (Merlin the Enchanter) and La Boutique du Chateau (the Castle Boutique.) The former is a glass shop while the latter is a Christmas store. Also here is La Taniere du Dragon (The Dragon's Lair), a basement area home to a giant animatronic dragon, while on the second floor is La Galerie de la Belle au Bois Dormant (Sleeping Beauty Gallery), a walkthrough attractions retelling the story of Sleeping Beauty. From there, guests can enter a small French area, home to the Sword in the Stone, Le Carousel de Lancelot (Lancelot's Carousel), Cafe Cendrillion (Cinderella's Cafe), La Confiscerie de Trois Fees (The Three Fairies' Confectionary), and Sir Mickey's Boutique. L'abre Enchante (The Magic Tree), is a nearby drink stand.
Going to the left side is a German-style village, home to two dark rides. Underneath a sloping roof is Blanche Neige et les Sept Nains (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs), which exits into La Chaumiere des Sept Nains (The Seven Dwarfs' Cottage.) Under a more colorful building is Les Voyages de Pinocchio (Pinocchio's Adventures), which exits into La Bottega di Gepetto (Gepetto's workshop.) Also in the area is a Pinocchio-themed restaurant called Au Chalet de Marionnette (The Puppet's House,) which sits on the border with Adventureland and sells German food.
Crossing the bridge over to a British section, guests can find Dumbo the Flying Elephant to the right. To the left, guests can ride Peter Pan's Flight and eat at the Toad Hall Restaurant. Located nearby is a place to Meet Mickey Mouse, which exits into Meet Mickey Mouse Photographs, while the Fantasyland station for the Disneyland Railroad is behind it, trains departing to Discoveryland throughout the day. Going further to the right side, guests enter an Alice in Wonderland section, home to the walkthrough attraction Alice's Curious Labyrinth, the spinning ride Mad Hatter's Teacups, and the snack stand March Hare Refreshments. Another snack stand is The Old Mill, located nearby. If guests go under a bridge, they will find two attractions offering different views: Les Pays des Contes Fees (The Land of Fairy Tales) is a boat ride through miniature models, while Casey Jr. - Le Petit Train du Cirque (Casey Jr., the Little Circus Train) offers a bird's-eye view of it.
Last but not least, an Italian section is in the Westernmost part of the land. This area is home to the Princess Pavilion, where guests can meet the princesses, as well as the indoor boat ride "It's a Small World." As guests head back towards Central Plaza, they walk through an Italian village, home to Fantasia Gelato and Pizzeria Bella Notte.

Imagineers knew that when it came to Fantasyland, they had to bring out the true beauty of Europe. With this being the continent that many of their Fairy Tales originated from, they were more authentic here than these stories were back in America. They found a way to pay tribute to many of the stories of Europe, as well as many of the regions of Europe, putting subtle references all over (like a slightly leaning castle tower in the Italian region, which is a references to the Leaning Tower of Pisa.)

 Like most Disneyland parks, guests enter the park through Main Street U.S.A. This recreates a Midwestern American Town at the turn of the Twentieth Century. Aside from taking inspiration from Walt Disney's hometown of Marceline, Missouri, it also pays tribute to America as a whole, taking inspiration from many cities throughout the country. In order to get into the park, guests go through the Fantasia Gardens and then go under the Disneyland Hotel. This makes guests wonder if there is a park behind, but once they reach the other side, they see it very well. After going through security, they enter into Town Square. Disney Adventure World: World Premiere Plaza

This is where guests enter the park. They enter a Hollywood theater district where shows, attractions, and other things can be found. It is a callback to the film industry that created these worlds that guests are about to explore. When first entering the park, guests come into the Place des Freres Lumieres (Brothers Lumiere Place), which is named after the inventors of the film industry who played black and white videos for a live audience in the late 1800s. In the center is a statue of sorcerer Mickey with the living brooms, as seen in Fantasia. On the right is a stroller rental area alongside the Studio Photo, while on the right is the Studio Store. From there, guests enter a large soundstage, where they are immersed in 1930s Hollywood. This walkway is the World Premiere. Disney Adventure World: Adventure Way

 Going beyond World Premiere Plaza is a walkway that connects the themed lands together. It is a Victorian-style street known as Adventure Way, home to family attractions and elegant gardens. It's a celebration of Disney stories and an invitation to go on an adventure, as well as a place that makes for a scenic stroll. As they make their way down the road, guests will see two gardens. To their right is the Toy Story Garden, which transitions into the Worlds of Pixar, while on the left is the English Garden, where musical shows will play. As they go further down, they will enter the Adventure Garden on the left, home to the upcoming swing ride Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings, while on the right is the Tangled Garden, home to Raiponce Tangled Spin, a Teacups ride inspired by the lantern lagoon scene in Tangled.
